This year marks the third time our students have taken the stage for the graduation concert of Strings of Love — and the meaning behind it has only grown stronger each time.
Over the programme, we watched students learn to listen, to respond, and to work as one ensemble rather than as separate individuals. In a supportive environment where progress matters more than perfection, every rehearsal becomes a step toward self-belief.
Throughout the months of training, students received instrument support and free violin tuition, helping them turn opportunity into action. With guidance from our tutor, Elise, and volunteer teaching assistants, they developed not just string-playing skills, but also patience, discipline, and teamwork—qualities that stay with them long after the graduation performance.
What makes this graduation concert especially memorable is the sense of collaboration on and off the stage. This year, as usual, we welcomed our composer, Joshua Tang, to join the performance. Together, they proudly performed original music composed for the programme to match their stage of learning and to celebrate their growth. Seeing them perform as an ensemble is a powerful reminder of why arts education matters: when students are given the right chance, creativity becomes confidence—and confidence becomes possibility.
To everyone who attended, thank you for supporting our students at their moment of graduation. And to all who made the programme possible—our donors, our composer, tutor, and volunteer teaching assistants—thank you for your dedication, time, and care. Because of you, these young musicians get to play not only for an audience, but for themselves.
