Art and Vitality: INK Painting Workshop
To support the "National Games of China" which was held in November 2025, we worked with Tsi Ku Chai, an organization under Bauhinia Culture Holdings Limited and Sino United Publishing (Holdings) Limited, to organize "Art and Vitality: Ink Painting Workshop". This activity used traditional Chinese ink painting to cheer for the National Games athletes and to promote the beauty of ink art in the community.
Each participant got 1 card with an ink painting-style athlete drawn. Participants used Chinese brushes to fill in colors and create cheering slogans. More than 1,500 artworks were received, and 120 winning works were chosen by our judges, including 20 gold awards, 50 silver awards, and 50 bronze awards. Judges selected the winning artworks according to three criteria: the aesthetic appeal, the completeness of the coloring, and the creativity of the slogans. We provided book vouchers with a total value of HKD10500 to all awardees for their creativity.
We are honoured to have Mr. Oscar Wong, JP (Sham Shui Po District Officer), Frederick Yu, JP (Sha Tin District Officer), and Ms. Allie Yim (Yau Tsim Mong Assistant District Officer) as our guests at the award ceremony, which was held on 10 December 2025. Apart from the selected artworks, paintings by local artist Mr. Leung Shek Yuen and children's works from the Greater Bay Area were displayed at the ceremony, bringing Chinese art into the community.
This workshop and ceremony were organized by Tsi Ku Chai, co-organized by Art Mentor Education Foundation (AMEF), Hiro Cultural, Aurora International Society of Culture and Art, Associação de Promoção da Cultura Tradicional da Grande Área da Baía, Lung Kong WFSL Lau Wong Fat Secondary School, HKCWC Fung Yiu King Memorial Secondary School, Society for Community Organization and Hong Kong United Youth Association.
