Wearable Paper Dragon Head Decoration Workshop

In Chinese traditional culture, dragon is one of the four legendary creatures. A Chinese dragon features combinations from animals and creatures such as deer, eagles, fish, snake, and oxen... It symbolizes peace, good fortune, and favorable weather. Chinese people enjoy performing dragon and lion dance during festivals to pray for good luck and ward off evil spirits, creating a festive atmosphere. Some families/clans in the New Territories organize dragon and lion dance to celebrate festivals, ceremonies, or deity birthdays.

Students use colored papers, color pencils, and markers to draw, assemble, and decorate red or orange dragon heads on carton boxes. This workshop is designed for primary students, aiming to stimulates children's creativity, and also aligns with the New Year theme.
